Following guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England, our public spaces are now closed and tours are cancelled. The health, welfare and safety of visitors and staff is our number one priority.

If you had a tour booked, please do not contact our box office; we will contact you directly.

Discover the best way to explore the Bodleian Libraries

Regular guided tours allow visitors to step inside the historic rooms of the Old Bodleian Library, including the 15th-century Divinity School, medieval Duke Humfrey's Library and the iconic Radcliffe Camera.

Visitors will learn about the history of the Libraries, see ancient books, discover the secret reading room built for royalty, find out what life would have been like for early students of divinity, and see the place where Parliament sat several times in the 17th century.

We welcome group bookings for those seeking guided tours, self-guided audio tours, and just visiting the spectacular Divinity School.

Tours of the Old Bodleian Library are very popular and often sell out. Tours are available to book online from two weeks in advance - to avoid disppointment, we recommend booking in advance.

Please note, the Radcliffe Camera can only be accessed on a 90 minute tour.
