Experience the Bodleian like never before on this exclusive guided tour for summer 2025.

Gain after-hours access to the stunning Duke Humfrey’s Library after the students have left, allowing you to absorb the incredible atmosphere of the library.

Our fantastic tour guides will guide you through historic reading rooms and into an underground tunnel, the Gladstone Link. You'll emerge inside the Oxford's most iconic landmark, the Radcliffe Camera. See for yourself why the 'Rad Cam' is one of the University's most beloved reading rooms for students and readers alike, and why so many visitors want to peek inside.

You will see:

  • Duke Humfrey’s Library
  • the Gladstone Link
  • the Radcliffe Camera

Tour information

  • This tour is conducted in English.
  • The tour includes a number of stairs and some walking; we regret that no lift is available.
  • Children must be 11+ to join this tour. Under 18s must be accompanied on tours by a responsible adult, as our guided tours enter into Duke Humfrey’s Library and the Radcliffe Camera, which are working libraries.
