How do the worlds of espionage and fiction produce mirror images of each other?
Join us at the Weston Library or online for a special Christmas Friends of the Bodleian lecture. Well-known writer Mick Herron will speak about his memories of reading John le Carré for the first time, and le Carré's influence on his work.
This talk is hosted by the Friends of the Bodleian, but is open to all. It is part of the John le Carré talk series accompanying the John le Carré: Tradecraft exhibition at the Weston Library.
Speaker
Mick Herron is the author of the Slough House series, the Zoe Boehm series and a number of standalone novels. His awards include the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year and the CWA Gold, Steel and Diamond Daggers. A fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, he was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and lives in Oxford.
