Visiting with families and kids

From exploring the Libraries with our tour guides, to a range of fun and creative family-friendly activities, the Bodleian Libraries welcome all families.

We do not always have family friendly specific events at the Bodleian, but there is always something to see and do, and our regular exhibitions and displays at the Weston Library are open for childen of all ages.

The Weston Library is pushchair accessible via the ramp at the Broad Street entrance. The public areas – including the exhibition rooms, Bodleian Café, and The Zvi Meitar Bodleian Shop – are all on the ground floor.

Due to restrictions in the reading rooms of the Old Bodleian Library, children under the age of 11 are unfortunately not permitted on our guided tours.
