Join sound artist, composer and nature beatboxer Jason Singh for an exploration of the soundscapes created for Wonder of Birds. Discover how a fascination with birdsong, diverse habitats and the interconnectedness of birds, plants and place shaped the work.
Jason will explore the creative process behind the soundscapes, from field recordings, text and digital instruments to voice and biosonification. He will share how plants and trees found in birds’ nests became unexpected sources of sound, opening up new ways of listening to the relationships between birds and their environments. Through sound, Jason invites us to listen differently — with curiosity, attention and a sense of wonder.

Jason Singh is a sound artist and musician whose practice explores the connections between sound, nature and the living world. Working with field recordings, voice, digital instruments and biosonification, he creates immersive soundscapes that invite new ways of listening and experiencing our environment. His work is inspired by birdsong, ecology and the interconnected relationships between species and their habitats.
