The Oxford Folk Festival is a small, lively, and inclusive grassroots event held each April, celebrating all forms of folk music. It features performers from Oxfordshire as well as guests from across the UK and beyond.

Performers

Faringdon Community Choir is a group of people who love singing together, and they feature an eclectic mix of pop music, folk, classical and songs from musicals. They are joined by Local Vocals, of Deddington. The musical director is Rachel Williams, also Folk Weekend Oxford’s former Creative Producer.

Jericho Singers are a friendly, informal choir. They love to sing songs from a whole range of music from jazz to pop, folk to classical, R&B to hip hop as well as songs about the canal and life on and around it. Their musical director is Steph Pirrie, also the leading member of the successful local trio Three Idle Women.

Man Choir is a celebration of what ordinary guys in the community can achieve together when they do something they love. The material and the men who sing it will both entertain you and challenge you musically.

Katie Grace Harris is a multi-tasking, foot tapping, piano, dulcimer and accordion playing singer and story-weaver. Inspired by real stories of social injustice and with a fast-growing reputation in the UK Folk world, her sound has been described as 'boot-thumping, heart-filling acoustic/folk music'. She will be joined by the skilled cellist, Andy Nice.

The Skeptics are North Oxfordshire based, sing a cappella, and are known for creative harmonies and a distinctive style. They came together in 2009 via a shared desire to bring something different to the folk canon whilst honouring its traditions.
