2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first crewed mission to land on the Moon (20 July 1969). Come and explore humanity’s study of, and fascination with, all things lunar.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with the Bodleian Libraries. Find out how and why humans study the moon, and what the moon might tell us about humanity. Listen to lunar themed music, enjoy object handling stalls, visit our resident story-teller, try your hand at printing and craft activities, and engage with academics.
