About this event
Join us to celebrate the Oxford SU and Bodleian Libraries student writing competition on the theme of ‘Your Choices: Community and Identity’. The competition was part of a larger push to invest in student creativity and was a special feature of the SU’s inaugural Arts Week. The event will include readings from shortlisted entries, comments from the editors and a closing speech from the Special Guest Judge, acclaimed poet and playwright Inua Ellams, best known for his play Barber Shop Chronicles.
The shortlisted and winning entries to the competition are included in a zine publication, created by the winning students, that will be presented to the Bodleian Libraries for inclusion into the Space for Reading at the Weston Library.
There will be time after the event for networking and to explore the Space for Reading.
