About the event
Join us at the Weston Library for a talk to celebrate National Swift Awareness Week.
Find out how this most enigmatic and aerially evolved of all birds has adapted to spend its life on the wing. Learn about its natural history, its place in our culture, and what one of the longest running studies of any bird in the world – at Oxford’s Museum of Natural History – tells us about their lives.
Join the Museum’s Chris Jarvis, who has been taking part in the study since 2020, to hear about life in the tower and much more in this illustrated lunchtime talk.
Speaker
Chris Jarvis is the Education Officer for adult and primary school programming at Oxford University Museum of Natural History.
