About the event
Explore how psalms can be used as a tool to support mental health and wellbeing with Gulamabbas Lakha, mental health researcher at the University of Oxford and ministry leader (Shaykh) with the Muslim community, and Revd Canon Professor Susan Gillingham, Emeritus Professor of the Hebrew Bible and authority on the Book of Psalms.
Each session includes an introduction to specific texts and the practical psychological tools within them, followed by two reflective exercises and shared discussion. No previous knowledge of psalms is required and the workshop is open to people of all faiths and none.
